You are cordially invited to join The Georgia Transplant Foundation (GTF), Brayson Homes Inc. and Tom Glavine on Wednesday, Dec. 13 , for the dedication of the 2000 Brayson Homes Transplant House .

The event will take place at the Haverford Place Model Home in Lilburn from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. that day. There will be catered refreshments, and the check presentation is expected to take place between 1:30 and and 2 p.m. The Atlanta Braves' Tom Glavine , the two-time Cy Young Award winner who is a member of the Georgia Transplant Foundation's Board of Directors, will accept the check in behalf of the foundation. Also expected to attend the event are GTF officers and directors, transplant recipients, and local governmental officials.

Haverford Place is located at the intersection of Hwy. 29 (Lawrenceville Hwy.) and Harbins Road . It is north of Jimmy Carter Boulevard and south of Indian Trail.

The event is in observance of the fifth year that Brayson Homes has constructed and sold a “Transplant House”. The house is built with the understanding that when it is sold, 100 percent of the profits will go to the Georgia Transplant Foundation. The profits from “Transplant House” sales are much larger than are usually received from the sale of a home, since many of Brayson Homes' contractors, suppliers, and others donate labor and materials for the yearly project. These contributors will also be recognized at the dedication event.

The sale of the 2000 Transplant House raised over $111,000 for GTF, a record amount for one year. This brings the total raised during the five-year period to approximately $400,753 .

Directions to Haverford Place : Take Hwy. 29 ( Lawrenceville Hwy. ) eastbound from I-285 toward Lilburn. Cross Jimmy Carter Blvd. and proceed approximately one more mile until you get to Harbins Road. Turn right onto Harbins directly into Haverford Place. The model home is on the left near the entrance.
