Transplant House Dedication
You are cordially invited to join The Georgia Transplant Foundation (GTF), Brayson Homes Inc. and Tom Glavine on Friday, Dec. 7, for the dedication of the 2000 - 2001 Brayson Homes Transplant House . The event will take place at the Meadow Grove model home in Lawrenceville from 12:30 until 2 p.m. that day. There will be catered refreshments, and the check presentation is expected to take place between 1 and 1:30 p.m. The Atlanta Braves' Tom Glavine , the two-time Cy Young Award winner who is a member of the Georgia Transplant Foundation's Board of Directors, will accept the check in behalf of the foundation. Also expected to attend the event are GTF officers and directors, transplant recipients, and local governmental officials. Because there will be limited space at the site of the dedication, we are asking that there be no advance coverage of the event. Your cooperation will be appreciated. The event is in observance of the sixth year that Brayson Homes has constructed and sold a “Transplant House”. The house is built with the understanding that when it is sold, 100 percent of the profits will go to the Georgia Transplant Foundation. The profits from “Transplant House” sales are much larger than are usually received from the sale of a home, since many of Brayson Homes' contractors, suppliers, and others donate labor and materials for the yearly project. These contributors will also be recognized at the dedication event. The sale of the 2000-2001 Transplant House raised over $134,580 for GTF, a record amount for one year. This brings the total raised during the five-year period to approximately $535,333 . If you have any questions about the dedication event, please call Sandy Jenkins, the on-site sales agent in Meadow Grove, at (770) 338-4214, or Ginny Bishop, marketing coordinator for Brayson Homes, at (678) 475-0578 Ext. 232. Directions to Meadow Grove: Take I-85 North to Hwy. 316 East. Take Hwy. 316 for one mile to exit at Sugarloaf Parkway. Turn right and proceed for approximately six miles to a left onto Five Forks/Trickum Road. Meadow Grove will be approximately two miles on your right. |
